We remind homeowners that the Evergreen Estates Association insures the building / structures which we call “home”. As such the Association and its insurance company have a vested interest in the safety of the homeowners, their guests, as well as ensuring that any rist to the safety of the homeowners and the structure/building is minimized.
From time to time a homeowner or guest may require the use of home oxygen. In accordance with the city codes in this regard, and in compliance with the regulations of the Association’s insurer, a Board Member should be so notified when home oxygen will be in use. The homeowner is REQUIRED to have a NO SMOKING-OXYGEN IN USE or some similar sign prominently posted on the front door of the home. This sign must remain posted as long as the home oxygen unit is on the premises, and there is to be no smoking on the premises as long as the unit is housed there.
Additionally, homeowners may keep on site other combustibles, e.g. turpentine, etc and such combustibles must be kept secured and away from flame or potential flame – e.g. do not store combustibles near the furnace, hot water heater, etc.
