The Evergreen Estates Covenants allow for “smaller” pets, and it is the responsibility of the pet-owner to ensure that:
- If walking your dog in the development, around the lake-side, on Association property, out on the boulevards or, quite frankly, anywhere else – and you pooch goes #2 it is not only common courtesy but also the pet-owners responsibility to pick-up after their pet and NOT leave it for other to step-in or for it to become and eye-sore to your neighbors.
- If you pooch is using your own yard to go #2, and that is certainly preferable then having them go on your neighbor’s yard, please pick-up after the dog IMMEDIATELY, and at the very least clean-up your yard several times a week. REMEMBER, the grounds crew both summer and winter are out in our yards and should NOT be expected to navigate dog-poop droppings. Additionally, puppy-poo and puppy-pee do not look good on white snow.
- Your pooch when outside is in accordance with our Covenants and City of West Fargo law, to be on a LEASH at all times and we ask you to comply with these regulations. Other homeowners do not have pets for many reasons, and they should not be bothered by other pets. Additionally some fear pooches, and when there are children and grandchildren, elderly and infirm, who are “scared” of your pooches, they do not want your pooches jumping on them.
- “Rascal spots” as they are often known, caused by dog-urine often appear on the grass. They will often fill-in on their own, but sometimes not and then it is homeowners responsibility to make sure these spots are repaired. In that regard, there are two products which are available at local stores (Ace, Menard’s, Lowe’s, and perhaps other): “Rascal Spots” and/or “EZ Seed” which will work very well in repairing these spots. Again it is the homeowner’s responsibility to do so or to arrange for these sports to be repaired in a timely manner.
- This item has, and does, generate the most complaints in the development. If the complaints are about your pet, the Board of Directors will address them with the homeowner immediately and directly, and will expect immediate cooperation in rectifying the complaint.
